Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002 - 1:34 P.M. I just snagged my brand new and modreately expensive tights on my desk. Although this is totally annoying, I'm not going to dwell on it or let it effect my mood. Although it might not always seem so, there are more important things for me to expend my energy thinking about. :::deep breaths::: So, I finally made it down to Strong Island on Sunday. I really don't have the energy to go into a detailed description of the weekend. Actually, I have some stuff saved on my laptop that I wrote on the ferry ride to and from NY. I'll post that later since it's a fairly detailed and accurate description of what went down. In short, my Mother was dramatic and irrational (as expected) and there was a lot of crying and yelling on Sunday. My Father, on the otherhand, was suprisingly wonderful and supportive about everything. Plans are still go and things are pretty darn good. Some slight changes have been made, the details of which are currently being worked out. I'll write more on that as we figure out what exactly is going on. I ran home at lunch to see if I had received a letter from the German Consulate. I'm expecting my passport any day now. Wow. This is all so exciting and real. Sometimes I stop and think about it it all seems so surreal. "Um, hi . . . I'm moving to London to live with my wonderful, boyfriend who I met in this very space over a year ago. While in England, I'll be able to work legally hopefully travel some parts of Europe which I haven't yet visited." As far as I'm concerned, things couldn't really get much better than that. I have a lot of things I'd like to get done this weekend. I need to plan some lessons by Saturday. I also need to search for a second job. I'm all about saving the money right now. - This Quiz. Maybe it's just me, but I think it's one of the greatest things ever. Go take it and then come back and let me know what you've scored. Considering that I'll be a German Citizen (um, how weird is that?) any day now, I think I should have scored higher than I did. 45% German my ass! BTW - this link was taken from Gentry de Paris. She's one fantabulous expat who writes all about her adventures in Paris and has achieved fame in Germany! - My Mini-disc player. It just might be the greatest thing ever. Hmmm, perhaps I shall make a new compilation tonight. - My new denim skirt with embroidery on it. - Tomato soup with cheddar goldfish swimming in it. - Chai. Yummy. Yummy. - The prospect of seeing "Rules of Attraction" this weekend. I'm currently reading it for the third time in anticipation. - My Smiths interview CD which I received in the mail from Lee (Sweet Jeebers! Morrissey has one sexy voice). - My TEFL class! Much to my suprise, it's tons of fun. - Getting everything organised and finalized for the move which, in case I haven't mentioned, is ACTUALLY HAPPENING! Eghads, that's exciting. On a final note, this just might be the scariest thing that I have ever seen.
Hey, if I had to see it than so do you. I think I'm going to write the people at boston.com and blame them for any nightmares I might have as a result of the exposure to that hideous clown. Everybody knows that clowns are scary; we don't need photographic evidence. :::shivers::: I actually let out a little yelp when I fist saw that.
