OK, I'm in an astoundingly good mood considering that a) I'm at work and b) it's only 9:45 in the morning which means I still have more than seven hours to go. Hmmmmmm. So, what could be the cause of this very fine mood in which I've found myself? It could be any one of the following things:

- It's SNOWING. It's SNOWING in OCTOBER!!! It has to be said, I love snow. It's a little known fact but I was once quite the ski bunny. I learned to ski and got my first pair of skis in Vail, Colorado when I was four. We skied pretty much every winter until I went to college. I associate snow with fun and frolicking. Not that this is real snow mind you. I'm sure it will turn to rain in a matter of hours. It's still exciting.

- Lee made me what might just be the most amazing MiniDisc compilation EVER! I listened to it on my way into work this morning. If you happened to be traveling inbound on Commonwealth avenue and saw a chick in a silver (grey according to Lee) saturn bopping along and singing at the top of her lungs whilst driving, that was me. Said mix has many great songs on it but the ones making me the happiest right now are: "Where's Your Head At?" by Basement Jaxx, "Get off of my Cloud" by the Rolling Stones (which is one of my all time favorite songs, btw) "Twisterella" by Ride, "Somebody to Shove" by Soul Asylum (I was in the Soul Asylum fan club in High School. Yeah, I know - but it's a good song dammit!), and "Beat Boy" by Bronski Beat. It's fan-fucking-tastic.

- I am doing very well on my diet and I think it's actually starting to show a bit. This is very nice indeed.

- I'm wearing the most comfortable shirt in the universe. It's not only comfortable, but also stylish. You can't get much better than that.

- It's Wednesday which means that I have two days of fun ahead of me. Tomorrow is the suprise par-tay for Kathleen, Jef with one F's lady. Then Friday my man Kev is going to drive up to Boston and accompany me to the cinema. Good times, good times.

- I'm technically closer than ever to finally being with my boy.

I'm going to conclude this entry with something entirely random. A friend of mine from NY, once drove cross country and ended up sharing a joint with a trucker at a rest stop in OK. While they were chatting, the trucker offered him these words of wisdom, "Boy" he said, "You ain't never lived life 'til you've ridden a bull while high on cocaine." Now there's some food for thought.
