One year ago yesterday was the first time I ever actually "talked" to Lee. One year ago today, I wrote the following:

Before and throughout this whole thing, someone entirely unexpected has been making me very happy and has provided comfort. I don't know quite what to make of it, but I'm enjoying it too much to start overanalyzing just yet. Suffice it to say, it's been a while since I've felt quite like this. It's both a really terrifying, and really amazing sensation.

Little did I know, hmmmm? Wow - one year. One year in love with Lee.

I bought something very important today. January 27th, baby. Just 89 more days! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

According to the Meyers Briggs test my character type is ENFP. I've taken this a few times and I've always gotten the same results. I'm even willing to agree that the description suites me pretty well. Today, while trying to waste away my afternoon, I came across a list of famous ENFP's.

Famous ENFPs:

Franz Joseph Haydn, composer

Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain)

Will Rogers, humorist

Buster Keaton

Theodor "Dr." Seuss Geisel, children's author (The Cat in the Hat)

Mickey Rooney, actor

James Dobson, "Focus on the Family"

Andy Rooney, television news commentator

Carol Burnett, comedian

Paul Harvey, radio announcer

Elizabeth Montgomery, actress (Bewitched)

Bill Cosby, comedian, actor (Ghost Dad)

Dom Delouise, actor

Dave Thomas, owner of Wendy's hamburger chain

Lewis Grizzard, newspaper columnist

I. King Jordan, president of Gallaudet University

Martin Short, actor-comedian

Meg Ryan, actress (When Harry Met Sally)

Robin Williams, actor, comedian (Dead Poet's Society, Mrs. Doubtfire)

Sandra Bullock, actress (Speed, While You Were Sleeping)

Robert Downey (Heart and Souls)

Alicia Silverstone (Clueless)

Fictional:

Dr. Doug Ross (ER)

Balkie (Perfect Strangers)

Ariel (The Little Mermaid)

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

Steve Irkle

Truth be told, that's a fairly lame list of people. It's cool that Robin Williams is on there. I've always liked him and I suppose I won't complain about the Martin Short thing either. I generally find him to be quite funny and he was fantastic when I saw him on Broadway in the Bacherac musical, "Promises, Promises". Anyway, what struck me the most was the person listed second on the list of fictional characters.

I share a personality type with Balki, beloved cousin of Larry Applegate, and former citizen of Mypos? That rocks. What gets me the most though is this, the Balki page. I'm sorry, but is it just me or does anyone else find it really, really scary that there are people out there signing guestbooks just in case Bronson Pinchot wanders onto a "Perfect Strangers" fansite? Actually, what the hell has old Bronson been up to lately? Were I an actor who's career had gone as far down the toilet as his has, I probably would be looking up myself on the internet.

On that note, here is a link to gbook supposedly reserved for Balki fans. Fortunately, it seems to have been taken over by people as cynical as myself.

Here are some sample entries:

"Fuck me in the ass cousin Larry! Forget about Jennifer

and Mary Ann. Fuck me like I used to fuck the goats

in Meepos!"

-Belvis Hopper

"i hate weirdos who devote themselves to strange shows that have been cancelled for 10 years +"

- Balki

"Ok Jeff, face down ass up cause here comes Balki!!!"

- Balki's big anal adventure

Immature? Hell yes, but I think it was exactly what I needed on a dreary and cold Wednesday because I've been laughing for the last 10 minutes.
