Other than the aforementioned crap errand running, I've just been hanging out with the puggles and the parents. We've gone to the movies twice and saw "Chicago" and "About Schmidtt." Surprisingly, I absolutely LOVED "Chicago." Now, I'm not at all a musical person, but it was fantastic. The music was amazing, the costumes beautiful, and the preformances stellar. I'm actually listening to the soundtrack right now. I've always loved the time period. In fact, I was a flapper for Halloween in the 6th grade. God, that was one kick ass costume.
"About Schmidtt" was a very good movie and Jack was amazing. It was at once both darkly funny and deeply depressing. I think it weighed a little too much on the depressing side for me though. I was crying like a baby towards the end. My Mom hated it but I think that's because it hit a little too close to home. All in all, it was very well made, but not what you'd call a feel good film.
I'm still battling this horrific cold that just seems to have gotten worse. I've been reduced to a snotty, hacking mess. ARGH! I hate being sick and this is definitely a bad time for such a thing to happen. Hopefully, I'll be fine by the time I land in Engerland but I'm nervous about flying with a cold. My eardrum has already exploded twice on a plane, and flying while congested is a recipie for disaster. Luckily, I have some trusty prescription strength anti-histimine so hopefully that'll help some. I'm going to be one doped up passenger - tranquilizers, cold meds - hopefully it'll all just knock me out. Either that or make me too stoned to worry about the flight.
It still doesn't seem that real. I mean, I'm leaving the day after tomorrow's tomorrow! EEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! My Mom has finally agreed to come along the the airport which is definitely nice. I've also booked a trip home for a visit in three months time, which I think puts her mind at ease some. Right now I just can't wait to get through the next four sleeps and then find myself in my new snazzy flat with Lee at last! WOOT WOOT! Hmmmm, a week from today we'll be visiting his parents and friends in his hometown. A week from Sunday, we'll be hanging out with Ali, Clair, Simon, and Dan. Now, how cool is that?
